No excuse. And a bit about debt.

Excellent point on the debt. I HATE It when they push their charge cards and discount cards. "you can save 10$ today. blah blah blah..." Drives me crazy. I DO NOT want 500 discount cards in my purse and I do not need a charge card for every store I go to. Then they try to make you feel stupid because you don't want to save $10 today.
Very, very tempting... the card offer I mean. LOL I don't think that I could or would want to have a card that could get me into trouble. :)
I'd love to buy $1000 worth of lemon bars. Nom-cubed.
Now, all we need are a couple of government programs to get Kohl's back on its feet after they've unscrupulously out-lent themselves to customers who dropped everything to "go find some more stuff!!" : )
I remember those days - eek! I finally unburied myself from a ton of those cards. Now I'm free (free, I tell ya!) - I avoid them if at all possible now.

(oh, but charge away - I would!)

That's pretty sad.

Hah --- yes! Spend money you don't have!! I really cringe at that.
Their home goods are ridiculously expensive. That would get you a stand mixer and a couple pillows.
oh, i *KNOW*! it's nuts how people spend money they just.don't.have...

sheesh...
Depressing. Really it is. The only card I have is my Visa debit card. I've been there, done that with credit card debt. I'm out of it now, and I never want to be there again!
I feel really bad because the stores make their employees push those cards. I remember getting reamed when I worked at Sears because I never got enough credit apps. Awful.
We definitely need government bail-outs for people who bought one too many Kitchen Aid mixers!
That's all I have too. Well, technically I have my American Express for emergencies, but it hasn't left my wallet in a really long time. There's actually a Post-It on it that says "EMERGENCIES ONLY."
[this is good]
Too many people see their credit limit as a spending goal. ;)
[this is good]

So that WAS you standing behind me? jk C:

Sounds like a dialog I had not too long ago...these days, I just run in the other direction...C:

I've never heard it put like that, but dang, that really is the sentiment out there, isn't it!?
It's probably the only part of the business that makes them any money these days
