Oh yeah, I have a blog. Maybe I should use it.
Not sure why I've been MIA for a while, posting random nothings that don't tell you anything about my life. So, ladies and gents, here is The Deal With Me Lately:
Not too much is going on.
I love it here in my new apartment. I love the location, I love my landlords, I love all my furniture in here, I love my commute...it's all good. Almost. I do NOT love the nine windows in my bedroom that do not have curtains yet. Because on days when I am fortunate enough to sleep past 6:30, it becomes like the surface of the sun. It's ridiculously bright. My landlady is supposed to be making me curtains, but I haven't seen them yet. Oh, how I need curtains. Amber, if you are reading this, please bring me curtains. I will bake you something in my mini-oven. Maybe a flan. Or a game hen. Something small.
I also put up some decorations for Christmas. I set up my very expensive and realistic $14 Ikea Christmas tree. Let me tell you, there is no way this color is found anywhere in nature. The photo below is a little off because I stood on the coffee table to take it because I smooshed the tree in the corner between my two couches. But the thing is six-feet-tall. Which show you how far $14 can go at Ikea!
Most of the ornaments are food. Not actual food, but ornaments in the shape of food. A long time ago (in a land, far far away), my mom gave me an ornament that was shaped like a pickle. Since then, she gets me a new piece of food for my tree every year. My tree now has the pickle, a slice of pizza, ice cream, a tomato, a couple strawberries, corn on the cob, a carrot, a cupcake, a donut, a red pepper, a fish, an apple, a bottle of champagne, cabbage, garlic, what I think might be a radish, a bottle of chianti, and peas in a pod. I love my tree!
Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season so far! I know mine is off to a great start!
