And I'm now convinced that Hell is where you re-live the day before your dog is put to sleep over and over again. Because having to say goodbye to my dog was one of the most difficult, awful things I've ever had to do.
Phy, I love you. I miss you already.

Oh sweetie! :( I am so sorry for you loss. If it helps...remember that all dogs go to heaven and Phy is happily romping.
A very dear Vox neighbour of mine went through this, as well, about 3 weeks ago with his pal of 18 years. It's just so sad to say goodbye to a furry family member.
Dear Phydeaux,
You have brought me many a fond memory. I shall share a few...
1. I love how your ears would go "flapflapflapflapflapflapflap" everytime I would put my hands underneath them and flap them around; consequently I'm aware that you probably didn't enjoy this much but allowed me to do so because it brought me such great joy. You're awesome for that.
2. Even though everyone was alarmed that day, I found it quite endearing to have come back to the Wilton house and find that you had eaten and entire box of chocolate macadamia nuts, a bag of prunes, and a couple of kit kats.... I heart your face off for looking at us like "Huh? Wha? it was sooooo good!!!"
3. You reminded me of a barrel. I don't think Bob appreciated me calling you a barrel, but that's the best word I could come up with. You are, even now, the most cylindrical dog I have ever met.
4. I would sneak you cookies alll the time! No one really ever noticed because I was so stealth and you pretty much knew how to play it off... we had a "thing" going, didn't we? Sometimes I'd feed you under the table, but only when I knew it was covert...sometimes you were a little "snorty" with the under-the-table ninja snacks.
And finally, Phydeaux, you are my favorite beagle of all time. You are the best barrel with the flappiest ears a girl could ever hope to know. I heart your face off and I'll miss you...
See you in Heaven, boy.
