If it wasn't, you know, against the law, I'm sure more people would walk around naked. Although, it's really too hot to be outside at all, clothes or not. We just stay inside our air conditioned homes/offices/stores/etc.
Umm...at least it must be a dry heat, since it cools off so much at night? (face it, C, 100's suck, and I'm just trying to find anything positive to say about it)
We're up to our usual 90 and muggy high; 82 and muggy low (repeat till October).
I must say, that I would MUCH rather it be 100 and dry (which it generally is) than anything and muggy. I lived in Boston and learned to LOATHE the humidity. It never cooled down at night! Misery, right there.
I'm trying to find some people who might want to drive down to Santa Cruz or somewhere this weekend. If it's going to be hot, at least let me be near the ocean!
I'm rather envious. The weather forecast for this area will reach a high of 83. I was fortunate enough to experience humidity when I lived in New Orleans. I remember driving home at 3 in the morning and it was still 107 degrees. The shirt of choice was the tank top.
I still kind of miss living there, loved the food and scenery. :)
I'm torn as to whether (weather?) I'd rather have your hot temps or ours that just can't seem to get past 65. In all honesty, I think I'd like a few hot days. But then you can have them back.
earlier in the week it said it was supposed to be in the 90s at the end of the week down here... but they changed their minds, i guess... now it's the high 80s. still too hot for me. hehe.
Yeah, I like that at least it cools down at night here. I remember buying a window AC for my apartment in Boston, and it had a thermostat. I set it up at eleven at night and it was 95 in my room.
But...I loved Boston like you loved New Orleans. :)
I'm sure the food in Boston was great. I miss those beignets from Cafe du Monde on a Sunday afternoon while walking around in the French Quarter. I also miss attending crawfish boils, having crawfish etouffee, or seafood gumbo. Wow, I'm starting to get hungry and become homesick. I've always considered myself to be an adopted son of New Orleans since I'm originally from Nebraska...ha!

at least it's not humid.
i HATE humidity...
Oh, yeah! That's what I'm talking about....lovin' California right about now.
I agree with you about the humidity though; 105 and dry over a humid 90. Yeah, that's a pretty miserable situation...C:
