Even though this is basically the same Vox hunt as on March 12, 2007, I love this photo so here it is again:
Video: Share a video that makes you laugh every time you watch it.
Book: Show us a book that has helped or inspired your writing.
I will start this with a caveat: other than this book, I haven't read anything by Stephen King. I know, I know. It's kind of crazy. I do have the Stand sitting on my shelf, just waiting to be read. But...it's big and probably scary. So I keep grabbing other things to read instead.
Anyway, I got my copy of On Writing at Strand ("Eighteen Miles of Books") in New York City when I was there a few years ago. The book is half writing manual and half autobiography. It's full of revelations about his life (including the car accident that almost took his life in 1999) and his books and it's absolutely fascinating. He also gives the writer a toolbox of tips and writes of his disdain for adverbs. It's helpful and interesting at the same time. Highly recommended!
(note: my edition has flowers on the front. FLOWERS. Not exactly Stephen Kingish, if I do say so myself.)
(another note: I swear I saw Stephen King in a restaurant in Boston. It probably wasn't him, but how many people look like Stephen King? One. Stephen King.)
(another note still: I just noticed that the title Vox gave this post is "On Writing," the same as my answer to this question.)
(and one more note: I loved the Harry Potter movie. Stephen King loves the Harry Potter series as well.)
Show us what Father's Day means.
Being a photographer and all, my dad is rarely in front of the camera. So here are some of his photos. I like to think he shows as much in these photos as the subject.

Love you too much, Dad! Happy Father's Day!
Book: What book would you like to see made into a movie?

Easy. I have two:

So I'm not actually going to post video, since I'm sort of technically challenged (if anyone wanted to tell me how to do it, that'd be great). So photos it is! [edit:] I just finished this list and decided I am a TV show whore. I hadn't realized how many series I owned!
VideoPhoto: Show us a TV series you own or watched on DVD.
Of course I own the Office, seasons one and two. I will be getting season three the moment it hits shelves!
Even with the negative hype, I'm still enjoying Lost. I have both seaons one and two.
If you haven't watched Sports Night, I highly recommend it. It's a sitcom, but it has a darker edge and great writing. I own the whole series (two seasons).
The first two seasons are the latest addition to my ever-expanding DVD shelf. House is too fabulous for words.
Love Grey's, yet have completely missed this entire new season. I'll probably have a marathon of seasons one and two, and then I'll NetFlix or buy season three when it comes out.
I only own the first season, but I do find this show, especially the early seasons, to be highly underrated.
This show ROCKS. If you like quirky TV, treat yourself to the whole series -- it's only 14 episodes, but it wraps up perfectly in the end!
The BBCA version of the Office is the reasons I didn't want to watch the American version. I did, in time, and found that both are incredible for their own reasons. I own the whole series.
This is the only crime-based show I own. I like it. It's light hearted and it's usually not too heavy on the gore. I have both seasons one and two.

I took this one afternoon as the sun was setting over Fenway Park. It was stunning. Baseball and sunsets ROCK.
